About Sarah
Sarah is a passionate civilian with professional experience that includes industry-leading military and law enforcement training and education programs; military veteran employment and reintegration expertise; counterterrorism and national security research; marketing, website design, and creative services; and a background in the tech, finance, and aerospace industries.
Her mission in life is to serve her country and serve people in a way that promotes truth, justice, and abundant life.
In 2016, Sarah graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors from Seattle Pacific University, earning a Business Administration degree and a Political Science minor. During her undergraduate education, she focused on veteran reintegration strategies for large organizations, as well as Afghan studies and alternative counterterrorism techniques to bolster and protect American security. She joined Amazon.com as a Military Affairs Program Manager to assist veterans in successfully transitioning to the corporate environment. In 2019, she created and launched the industry-leading Amazon BRIDGE Program.
Through the BRIDGE Program, Sarah facilitated immersive training and education fellowships for over 250 individual military servicemembers and law enforcement professionals within the tech industry. These upskilling programs provided lessons from industry best practices to enhance military, national security, and law enforcement capabilities. Sarah customized 1-year learning pathways for individuals ranging from SEALs, Green Berets, and helicopter pilots to Air Force Logisticians, Space Force computer scientists, and Coast Guard engineers. She earned the designation as a trusted ally to the military and law enforcement communities, frequently speaking on panels and briefing 2, 3, and 4-star Generals on military-industry collaboration opportunities in the training and education space. Sarah enjoys mentoring veterans and law enforcement professionals who are considering career changes or new career tracks through organizations including The Honor Foundation.
Sarah advocates for knowledge-sharing and greater understanding in the relationship between industry professionals and the military community, because American businesses only succeed when the US military has the cutting-edge capabilities to defend American interests globally. In the same way, Sarah also believes that professionals in the tech industry have the unique opportunity to combat human trafficking around the world and assist those on the front lines of counter-exploitation in their own communities through their skills, connections, and cutting-edge products.
At Amazon, Sarah coordinated volunteer activities with the local human trafficking survivor organization, REST (Real Escape from the Sex Trade). She facilitated company-wide human trafficking awareness events for tech industry employees to understand the realities of local and global trafficking as well as practical ways for each attendee to identify their unique individual role in combatting exploitation. She also volunteered for Seattle Police Foundation galas and coordinated morale-boosting events for local countertrafficking law enforcement officers in addition to participating in the NW Regional Conference for the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
In 2021, Sarah completed her Master of Science in National Security at Liberty University, receiving honors as a "Graduate with High Distinction” with a 4.0 GPA.
After nearly 8 years in the tech industry, Sarah decided to embark on a new journey in 2024 as a small business owner to pursue freedom and help people in diverse ways. Her primary business is Little Suitcase Gifts, where Sarah specializes in handmade custom gifts. She also assists small businesses and nonprofits with their creative and web design needs while continuing to mentor transitioning veterans and law enforcement officers.
Sarah enjoys sharpening her defense skills, learning new languages, supporting faith-based organizations, and attempting to smoke brisket in her free time.
In honor of Doug’s love for “s’more collaboration”, Little Suitcase Gifts will give supporters of Resolved Strategies 10% off for all purchases of the Mini S’mores Kit, in addition to donating 50% of the proceeds from these sales to Resolved Strategies’ most trusted contributor organizations who are in the fight against human trafficking.
